Today on the show we’ll be giving away a cab commander to one of you lucky listeners so hang in until the end of the show. Next week I’m headed to Atlanta for the EESF Annual meeting and I’m excited about it as I’ve never been to one before. There’s a 95% chance that there will be no show next week. We’ll see how much news there is and whether or not I can get the show produced Tuesday morning or before I head out to Atlanta that night. Some great comments on the show today and some that even like the shorter show format. Have a safe week everyone!

I just learned that Charlie Dolan, founder of Atlas Elevator, passed away on February 15th. I remember dropping an order off at Atlas one day only to find Charlie working hard at his drafting table. Atlas for a while had three generations all working together which to me was quite an accomplishment. I invite all of you to sign his guest book by clicking here. I found some really good articles this week that I'll be sharing on the program. The one that was blogged about the most was the bankruptcy of Muzak. I'm honestly not sure why it didn't happen sooner. Another great article involves the TSSA and the liability and responsibility they have in making sure elevators and escalators are safe. Don't miss next week's show, another prize pack giveaway, which is going to be a cab commander from the Duluth Trading Company. Get your name on the e-mail list to be eligible to win.
I almost did the show on my patio last night it was so nice out, 58 Degrees! All the snow is pretty much gone and I'm ready for spring and I'm sure many of you are too. It's too bad it won't last; cold weather is already forecasted to return this weekend. Another busy week with news, thanks for tuning in to the program today everyone.
Great show today, lots of interesting stories that I found from all over the world. We've also got some great e-mails and commentaries too. Please welcome retired Elevator Mechanic Jim from Northern California who has started his own blog where he shares some great stories from his time in the trade. I forgot to talk about it on the show today and wanted to make sure you all check it out. The link is in the fun elevator stuff column on the website and can also be seen by clicking here. Only six more weeks of winter so the Groundhog says. Wouldn't that be nice! Have a great rest of the week everyone and be safe!
